Semi Automatic Tilting Type Inspection System — Dynamic Particle Detection for Liquid Bottles

Jagat Industries manufactures the Semi Automatic Tilting Type Inspection System — an operator-assisted dynamic bottle inspection machine that tilts and rotates filled bottles in front of a backlit inspection background to reveal particulate matter, fill level discrepancies, and liquid clarity issues in liquid-filled glass and PET bottles. The tilting action causes any suspended particles to move within the liquid, making them more visible to the inspector than static inspection methods.

For packaging line standards, refer to PMMI’s packaging machinery resources.

How It Works

Filled bottles are manually placed by the operator in the tilting inspection station. The machine tilts and gently rotates the bottle, causing the liquid inside to swirl and any suspended particles to become visible as they move against the backlit background. The operator visually inspects the moving liquid for particles, fill level accuracy, and colour abnormalities. Rejected bottles are removed; accepted bottles proceed to labelling and packing. The dynamic tilting method provides significantly better particle detection sensitivity than static hood inspection alone.

Key Features
  • Dynamic Tilting & Rotation — Moving liquid makes suspended particles far more visible than static inspection
  • Backlit Inspection Background — High-contrast backlight enhances particle and fill level detection
  • Fill Level Checking — Detects both underfilled and overfilled bottles
  • Superior Particle Detection — Tilting action reveals particles that remain invisible in static inspection
  • Manual Rejection Control — Operator inspects and rejects non-conforming bottles
  • GMP-Compatible Design — Suitable for pharmaceutical liquid bottle inspection requirements
Applications
  • Pharmaceuticals — Dynamic particle inspection of injectable and oral liquid bottles
  • Liquor & Distilleries — Fill level and clarity inspection of spirit bottles
  • Beverages — Pre-label particle and fill inspection of water and juice bottles

For static hood-type inspection, see our Semi Automatic Hood Type Inspection Systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the advantage of tilting inspection over static hood inspection?

Tilting and rotating the bottle causes the liquid to move, making suspended particles visible as they travel through the liquid. Static inspection can miss fine particles that settle or blend with the liquid background.

What defects can the tilting inspector detect?

Suspended particles, foreign matter, underfill, overfill, and liquid turbidity or colour variation.

Is this system required by pharma regulations?

Dynamic particle inspection is a GMP requirement for pharmaceutical injectable and oral liquid bottle lines.

Is the system fully automatic?

No — this is a semi-automatic system with operator-controlled inspection and rejection.

What bottle types can be inspected?

Glass and transparent PET bottles across standard sizes.
